EXPEDITION BALI ISLAND TOURS

Through our commitment to the environment, empowering the local people, and client-oriented approach, Expedition Bali offers the highest level of service and satisfaction for adventurers the world over, with transport and tours for every budget. We offer once in a lifetime adventures, some of the greatest fun, and everlasting memories.

Established in 2012, Expedition Bali has been thrilling visitors as Kintamani’s premier off-road tour company, the only licensed tour company to responsibly four-wheel drive in the UNESCO Geopark.

In 2018, Expedition Bali’s new owner, Tracy Wilkinson, embarked on the development of Expedition Bali Island Tours.  Tracy has a lifetime of experience in exploring off the beaten track places all over Australia and all over Bali.  She has brought her free spirited nature and her sense of adventure to Expedition Bali, forever searching for beautiful and interesting places to share with visitors to Bali.

All Expedition Bali drivers and tour guides are English speaking.  They are also screened for driver safety, appropriate licensing and excellent customer service standards.   Of highest priority is passenger safety and comfort, with all vehicles undergoing daily safety checks and weekly safety audits.  The fleet is well maintained and regularly serviced.

We offer you the best of Bali.

Sightseeing Tour - Half Day or Full Day

As Bali is a small island, there is nowhere that cannot be reached in a single day. You do not really need a fixed itinerary, just a general idea of places to visit and places to stay. The entire island is ready and waiting for visitors from around the world.

Bali is gentle and kind to the inexperienced traveller, with most of the local people having at least a limited knowledge of English language. Ask your Expedition Bali driver and guide for some assistance with planning your journey around the island, whether for a few hours, a day, or more.

Remember, be mobile, travel light, wear a comfortable pair of shoes, and share a positive attitude..

Private Tour Service (Multiple Days)

Expedition Bali offers personally customised tours for solo travellers, couples, families and small or large groups.  Talk with your driver and guide about your own interests and what you want to see and do in Bali.  Our Bali Private Tours are designed exclusively for you.  Speak with your Expedition Bali driver and guide to explore Bali’s spectacular volcanos, scenic jungle landscapes, bamboo forests, steep rice terraces, plantations, farms, temples, historical sites, ancient architecture, traditional villages and, unique wildlife.

Whatever your interest – sea, land, river, mountain, cloud or any other adventurous activity in Bali – take advantage of being guided and driven privately by well selected, knowledgeable, English-speaking, local Balinese guides and drivers..

Regional Selfie Tour

Expedition Bali’s Regional Selfie Tours are designed for you to capture the most picturesque places on the island.

The Buleleng Tour takes you through the farming districts of Mengwi and Auman for some “real Bali” photo opportunities.  Then, you will wind your way up the picturesque mountainous roads and skirt around Danau Breratan to the floating Ulun Danu temple at Bedugal.  This is one of the most photographed
inland temples in Bali.

From here, travel around Danau Buyan, further into the mountains to Wanagiri; and eventually, all the way to the foreshore of Danau Tamblingan at Munduk. The hill top of Wanagiri has a swing suspended high above the spectacular Buyan lake.  Have your photo taken here.  Close by is the hanging egg nest, the boat, the Saranghe bird nest and the butterfly, enveloped in the green panorama of Tukad Melangit Valley.

The uniqueness of the area makes for incredible selfies or capturing special moments with your friends or loved ones.

Sekumpul Waterfall Tour

Sekumpul Waterfall is different from most waterfalls in Bali and is considered the most beautiful on the island.  It is not just made up of one or two waterfalls. There are at least seven falls scattered in the high cliffs, which you will see from the bale (gazebo) at the viewing point. This is Expedition Bali’s favourite falls tour due to Sekumpul being off the beaten track and difficult for tourists to find. You will experience a far more private tour and immerse yourself in the tranquility.

Make the 40-minute hike through the most incredible rice field views, across the river to the catchment of the waterfall for a well-deserved swim in the clear water. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the peaceful pool before heading back for a wander through a clove plantation, a cacao plantation; plus, some local fruit plantations. Take the time to sample some of the local fresh produce and chat to the local farmers and villagers.

Tanah Lot Temple Tour

Tanah Lot Temple, off the coast of Bali, has become one of Indonesia’s most popular religious attractions.  Commonly referred to as the “temple of the rock”, Tanah Lot Temple was built upon a solid black stone peninsula that juts into rippling waters. Incredible ocean views, clear mountain air, and deep mythological connection draw visitors to this coastal destination.

The best time of day to visit Tanah Lot Temple is at sunset, when rose-coloured skies kiss the blue waters that surround this popular attraction. During low tide, visitors can walk to Tanah Lot by following a winding path lined with bustling market stalls. Ask your Expedition Bali driver and guide to plan a trip in time for you to receive a blessing, visit the snake cave and then settle in for drinks and dinner on the clifftop to watch the sun set over the ocean at a local restaurant or warung.

Ubud Monkey Forest & Artistry Tour

A Balinese Hindu site, the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is populated by some 600 long-tailed Balinese macaques, living in and around the forest, with many spilling out to wander the streets nearby. Visitors to the famed Ubud monkey forest often have the chance to observe numerous monkeys and even
get their picture taken with one.

Also of interest within the sacred monkey forest are three Hindu temples: Pura Dalem Agung (Death Temple), the Holy Bathing Temple, and Pura Prajapati (Funerary or Cremation Temple). All three are sacred, as is the forest and the monkeys, who are believed to protect the area from evil spirits.

Ask your Expedition Bali driver and guide to help you plan an artistry tour on your way to or home from Ubud, taking in some of the wonderful handcrafted artworks made of wood, silver, stone, glass, fabric and more..
